Set in nearly two acres of mature tropical gardens on the favoured and exclusive west coast, Nelson Gay is ideally situated along the immaculate Cobbler’s Cove Beach, offering a stunning half-mile crescent of perfect coral sand and clear, sheltered water safe for swimming and ideal for all water sports, including snorkeling through the mesmerizing coral reef. At the far end of the garden alongside the beach is an octagonal “Chinese” gazebo designed by Larry Warren, a wonderful place for sunset cocktails and long, leisurely meals cooled by the ocean breeze. A dining table on the partly covered terrace can seat up to 20, while the formal dining area can accommodate 12 at its Oliver Messel designed table, with French antique chairs and a large Messell mirror. By night, the garden looks quite magical with lighting by renowned UK lighting designer Bruce Munro. The well-trained and friendly staff will help you to plan your meals, shop, cook, serve, do your laundry, and make your Barbados holiday truly relaxing, stress-free and unforgettable.
There are five double bedrooms in the main house and there is also a day bed in the media room. By special arrangement, one or two extra beds can be added to the media room for family use, but they must share a bathroom. In addition, there is a self contained cottage with a king size bed. Also by special arrangement, four more guests can be accommodated in the two self-contained "chattel houses", one with a king size bed and the other with a queen size bed. They both have en suite bathrooms. This brings the maximum the house can sleep to 18 guests.
